Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this (1 of 3) JustGiving page.

On 13 January 2011 I am embarking on the greatest physical challenge of my life in Tanzania, East Africa.... mid life crisis?... I don't know, but my plan is to raise £15,000 for 3 great charities that have, in one way or another, probably touched you as they have me.

The plan is to not only climb the highest free standing mountain in the world, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), but to camp overnight in it's crater where temperatures can fall as low as -25 celcius.  The overnight camping is oxygen supported due to the altitude, but the rest of the climb is unaided.

I am covering the costs of all equipment and the trip so that every penny raised goes to my chosen charites which are:

Giving, is one of the greatest and most rewarding things we can do in life and I hope that you feel able to donate generously to these worthy causes.

Thank you so much in anticipation of your support.  It is valued and much appreciated.
