The RBL are the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces and their dependents.
Story
2013: We traveled to the Pyrenees mountains and climbed to the Brèche de Roland 9'800 feet in the air, raising £800 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and After Adoption. A challenging climb across snow covered paths, sheer drops and scorching heat.
2014: August we climbed Mount Toubkal. The highest mountain in North Africa standing at an incredible 14'000 feet. I raised £250 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. I also raised £251 for Combat Stress, the UK's leading charity that specializes in the treatment and support of British Armed Forces Veterans who have mental health problems. Toubkal was a huge challenge battling against the African summer and nauseating heights of the mountain.
2016: This year we aim to go one better - taking on the wildest mountains the whole of Europe - The Carpathians - bordering onto Transylvania. Home to Europes largest population of wild bears, wolves and poisonous snakes to name but a few. The Transylvanian mountains represent a part of nature yet to be spoiled and will be sure to deliver some amazing sights. I will once again be raising money for the incredible Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, A charity which provides much needed support to those military personnel in active service and our veterans who fought to keep us safe. I hope you can join me in supporting this worthy charity and wishing us the best of luck with the task ahead.
