Story
On 15 April 2008, Mick & Gayle set off from Land's End to walk a 1252-mile route, via Lizard Point and Dunnet Head, to John O'Groats.
We walked on 80 days, taking four rest days and thus completed the walk in twelve weeks.
We carried our camping gear every step of the way and stayed under canvas (or Sil-Nylon to be more precise) most nights.
In undertaking this endeavour we were trying to raise a bit of cash for Macmillan Cancer Support. Statistics say that 1 in 3 people will develop cancer some time in their lifetime. That's a lot of people. The chances are that if you don't already know someone who has benefitted from the work of a cancer charity, you will soon.
We would be really grateful if you would give a donation to Macmillan in recognition of our effort of undertaking this walk.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
