Kirsti and Kenny Clarke have chosen to trek the Grand Canyon over 8  days in March 2016. We are aiming to raise £7000 between us for the Alzheimer's Society, a charity that means a lot to our family.

Our Grandma was always the brightest, funniest, most loving person we knew, but about 7 years ago she started showing early signs of Alzheimer's. She was finally diagnosed about 2 years after that. In the last 5 years we have watched this disease take away our Grandma's memories and basic skills. We have watched the woman that we love disappear in front of us and no other family should have to go through this.

Quite simply, Alzheimer's needs more awareness and a cure. Only 44% of people with Alzheimer's have an official diagnosis and most of them receive it too late, when precious moments have been missed.
