Wainwright Coast To Coast on a bike

UPDATE: Due to unforseen circumstances I have had to delay my ride for two weeks, and will now be doing this on the weekend of the 20th of May.
On the 20th of May I shall be riding my bike for three days coast to coast, roughly following the route of the Wainwright Coast To Coast walk from St Bees on the west coast of England, through the Lake District and North Yorkshire Moors, to Robin Hoods Bay on the east coast, a journey through some pretty hilly terrain of around 200 miles.
I'll be doing this for the Shooting Star Children's Hospice, who run care services for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. These can take place in the family home, in the community and at Shooting Star House, the purpose-built facility based in Hampton, Middlesex.
Why am I doing this? My father Richard Corbett did a lot of work for Shooting Star as a photographer and fundraiser after his retirement before he passed away two years ago. The Wainwright Coast to coast was a walk he had planned to do for his 70th birthday, but due to ill health was unable to undertake the journey. As a keen cyclist, I felt it would be a good way to honour his plans.
I would also like to thank the help that his widow and my stepmother Angela Corbett gave me in organising and planning, who sadly passed away before I was able to complete the journey.
