British bikers prepare for a 1,300 mile journey for XH558’s appeal.
A classic Harley-Davidson® Superlow is being offered as a prize for the Vulcan summer Raffle
In a fantastic gesture of support, a team of British motorcyclists will journey over 1,300 miles across Europe, from XH558’s Doncaster Hangar, through France and the stunning scenery of the Alps, to a global Harley-Davidson® meet in Rome, in an effort to raise a massive £20,000 towards XH558’s end of June fundraising target of £800,000.
The Trust are also delighted to be able to announce that in conjunction with Harley-Davidson® Leeds, a Harley-Davidson® Superlow XL 833 will be one of the main prizes in this year’s summer raffle that will be available at events throughout the season. Tickets will be on sale at £2 each.
Full details on our Summer 2013 Raffle will be revealed in the coming weeks ahead of our first public displays.
Meantime, back to the ride. This will be headed by local Vulcan enthusiast Adam Fleming, and the two day journey to the Italian capital is part of an international pilgrimage to mark the 110th anniversary of Harley-Davidson® and celebrations are being held around the city. The team of four riders will set off on June 10th, taking their motorbikes across the channel, through France and down to Rome to meet up with thousands of other Harley aficionados.
As the event gets nearer, we will be bringing you live updates of their progress populated over our official Twitter feed. Make sure you follow us here:
