VICKI PHILLIPS is raising money for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution
Story
Welcome and thank you for visiting my fundraising page!!
The mug shot on the left is of yours truly, with the Barry Dock Lifeboat appearing from my left shoulder,
I have been a crewmember here in Barry for nearly 8 years and we are a fairly busy boat, with "shouts" to various casualties including fishing vessels, merchant shipping, aircraft (Cardiff International airport is just down the road!), sailors, and windsurfers to name but a few.
I decided to run in the 2005 London Marathon as a challenge after turning 40 (oops, the "f" word!!!). I am looking forward to April 17th with some trepidation! If you happen to be watching the telly that day, I'll be the one in the bright orange vest............!!!
The RNLI is supported entirely by voluntary contributions, and without people like you we would not be able to go to sea in the best boats and with the best safety equipment.
