DAY 5 (Thursday 24th July) Home stretch now... Another hot & long day in store, be about 70 miles or so. Heading to Manchester Town Hall, please come down & meet us!!

DAY 4 (Wednesday 23rd July) another really hot day, from Bromsgrove to Shrewsbury, approx. 54 miles and there's not even a pub where we're staying tonight!!!

DAY 3 (Tuesday 22nd July) whooo hooo Stratford-upon-Avon, going well so far....  continued... been a very long day... 85 miles, hills & heat making it hard...   finally got to Bromsgrove, our bed for the night, way past 9pm, been in the saddle over 10 hours zzzzzzzzzz

DAY 2 (Monday 21st July) day off in Oxford, checking out the Morse pub trail... well, it'd be rude not to!!

DAY 1 (Sunday 20th July) early start from London's Trafalgar Square, good ride through to Oxford

on 20th July 2014 we'll be cycling from London's Trafalgar Square to the North's thriving Metropolis, Manchester's Albert Square. We are doing it to raise money for The Christie Charity as 2 and a half years ago Vinny was given the devastating news he had Bowel Cancer. As we were talking before he was due to go for his first operation he said "I've been looking at maps for the last 20 years and thinking about cycling from London to Manchester" in a glib way I said "when you get the all clear I'll do it with you". We've been joking about this for the last couple of years & here we are 13 weeks away from doing it!!

The 'Big Ride' is about to start - 2 old men, 2 bikes, unsupported (except for the generous offer from Ian 'Hulmsey' Hulmes to dump us off in that London Town)

We're not doing it the normal way, we're going via Oxford (and may have a few cheeky ales a la Morse...) Stratford Upon Avon, Bromsgrove, Shrewsbury & Knutsford. We will be using as many minor roads as possible, about 250 miles in total. We're aiming to be back in Manchester on Thursday 24th July 2014.

We are asking you to support us along the Big Ride & sponsor us as much or as little as you can, every little bit really does help.
