We fund research, campaign and support to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

Firstly thank you for visiting my fund raising page.

On the 13th April 2014 I will be putting on my trainers and running around the big city of London for 26.2 miles raising funds for Beating Bowel Cancer.

So why Beating Bowel Cancer ....... my lovely, gorgeous and amazing Mum sadly was diagnosed with this disease in 1997 and lost her battle just some six months later.  Even now, almost 16 years on I miss her so much.  Losing her has changed our lives completly, and has meant that three cheeky grandchildren have never met their lovely Nana Wendy.

Beating Bowel Cancer work towards raising awareness of the symptoms of this disease , which if diagnosed at an early stage can be treated successfully in around 90% of cases.  Sadly in spite of this bowel cancer remains the UK's biggest cancer killer.

Even though I have completed the Marathon in 2009 and 2011 this is still a massive commitment for me..... not the least being I have to give up Friday night wine to fit in my long Saturday morning training runs!

All I can ask is that you support this cause.  The work they do is amazing and so worthwhile.  PLEASE help stop another family suffering such a loss and donate now.

Thank you

Vicki xxxx
