Story
Neuroblastoma is a rare form of cancer and Ryan Edwards, a young boy from Broadfields, Exeter has been living with it for several years. The lively five year old, may have the opportunity to receive experimental stem cell treatment over in Germany, and it is hoped that this will be successful despite the risks involved. Ryan's parents are raising money to try to help Ryan receive this treatment which costs over £300000. If for any reason Ryan cannot be put forward by UK doctors for treatment in Germany, the money raised will go towards the Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Alliance UK who will use the funding to help other children in a similar situation.
Daniel Smith from Vibrant Pulse, a media company based in Devon, and David Green from Eagle IT and Computer Services are taking an active role in raising some money. They are attending a novel fundraising event to raise money for the campaign. They are willing to spend a night in Bodmin jail which was made famous by ITV's “Most Haunted” programme! Mark Rablin, a professional Psychic will be hosting an evening of workshops into the paranormal and Daniel and David have been instructed to wrap up warm and bring a torch and/or camera for pictures...
As of 27 June, The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Alliance UK, Just Giving page has raised over £46000 but there is a long way to go to reach the target of over £300000. Daniel and David are aiming to raise £500 towards the charity through sponsorship.
