WEBSITE UPDATE
Massive, massive thanks to all who have succeeded in donating to and supported our fundraising efforts despite the huge problems Justgiving's "upgrade" has caused (and the huge huge hassle this caused you all as you've tried to donate). It's been extremely frustrating for us, as it happened - with no prior warning from Justgiving - at just the crucial time in our fundraising; and the problems meant that we couldn't even log into this site and update the page to tell you about the state of play.
But so many of you have perserved, and succeeded despite the problems, that we are now close to on our target!
If you have not yet been able to donate, Justgiving tell us that the problems should all be sorted now - so please try again, keeping your fingers crossed - and please also accept our profound thanks (and our profuse apologies on their behalf) for all the trouble!!

IRONMAN UPDATE
We made it!! Despite the back-breaking heat, a broken bike chain for Acer, heart palpitations during the marathon for Howat and a collapse over the line (followed by being carted off to the hospital tent on a drip) for Tom, all three of us made it through the day and over the distance, and are thus - Hommes du Fer!!
--------------------------------------------------
On Sunday 28th June this year in the sweltering heat of the Riviera Tom, Howat and Acer will each attempt to swim 2.4 miles in the Mediterranian sea, cycle 112 miles through the Alps (including 1800m of vertical ascent) and run a marathon. Back to back, all in one go.
We're going to attempt to do this - despite a lack of the sort of real training generally recommended for such an undertaking - because we want to raise as much money as we can for the Oxford Cardiac Centre Campaign
For decades Oxford has been at the forefront of advances in cardiac technology and treatment thanks to the close links between the city's world-class Hospital, the John Radcliffe, and the academic centre of research excellence that is Oxford University; the campaign to build a new Cardiac Centre hopes to make the already excellent NHS care even better and continue to contribute to Oxford's vital cardiac research.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
...so please sponsor us now!
