In my career in Parkwood Academy over the years I have been fortunate enough to help raise money for many hugely deserving charities. However for a number of personal reasons I have always wanted to give regular support to the St. Luke's Hospice for the superb care and support they provide for individuals and families in deeply difficult times.  In order to be able to maintain the service they provide, St. Luke's needs to raise over £4 million every year. We would like every mile of our 2500 mile challenge to help bring in some of that much needed cash and call on your help to make a donation however small.

For my part, I will be reliving my youth and driving a £400 (ish!) banger from Sheffield via Belgium, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia and hopefully back again! I have already gained some sponsorship through advertising on the car and will eventually also be selling the car for charity. For those car enthusiasts, the vehicle is a 1997 VW Golf GTI 16v - seen better days but still a buzz to drive! The students in the Academy will also be helping to raise money through cake sales and donations.
