Tuesday's Child and friends are running and walking the Belfast City Marathon to raise money for children in Gaza.

The Gaza strip is 25 miles long, 1 mile shorter than a marathon route. The narrow strip of land just 4-6 miles wide is the most densely populated place in the world.  In 2009 Operation Cast Lead dropped 1000 tonnes of bombs across this strip of land.  Imagine the impact of 1000 tonnes of bombs landing on the Belfast marathon route and the carnage and suffering this would cause? Over one year on, not one home has been rebuilt and people continue to live in the rubble of their former lives, hungry, traumatised and in utter despair unable to understand why the world does not seem to care. Of the 1.5 million living under siege, 54 percent are children who have no voice. Tuesday's Child are running to help at least some of these children.
