Story

W E   D I D   I T ! ! !

On Thursday, 24th September at 1:58 pm we set off from Dover. 15 hours and 35 minutes later, at 5:33 am, Sarah stood up on a beach off of Cap Griz Nez in France. Mode of travel: swimming!

A MASSIVE, MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE WHO HAS SHOWN THEIR SUPPORT! We really couldn't have done it without the backing of so many people. We are agreed on the fact that the swim was the hardest thing we've done in our lives but WE MADE IT and it would have impossible without the support of our friends and family.

If you want to know the gritty details of the lead up to swim and of course the crossing itself, please check out our blog which says pretty much everything you need to know: http://trurogirlschannelswim.blogspot.com/

Or for a blast from the past (a news article from last December) you can see the video of us on BBC Spotlight on http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/7785255.stm

We'd like to thank Follet Stock for giving us their support (especially at the Royal Cornwall Show) and the amazing donations of both Abbey Systems and the Padstow Masonic Lodge are hugely appreciated. Equally worthy of thanks are all those who donated their amazing prizes for the raffle at our recent charity meal, which was really successful.

Thank you so much one more time to everyone who gave their support - it has been absolutely fantastic motivation!

This page is now CLOSED - but we'll be announcing our final total sometime soon.
