Story
Trinity Community Arts, Bristol, are currently seeking alternative sources of funding so the thriving Community Garden can continue the 'grow it, cook it, eat it' sessions tailored for specific groups in the local community.
Trinity Community Garden has been running on a volunteer basis since 2005. In 2011 it developed with the garden co-ordinators running tailored sessions for local groups paid for through funding making the sessions accessible. The garden has developed impressively since! The extra energy has resulted in a beautiful kitchen and workshop space which is a model of sustainable building and created a space for the garden community to prepare and share food together. This energy has also meant that we have more fruit and vegetables and diverse plants growing than ever before making it a real garden of Eden.
The sessions provide a vital way into informal education, engaging people who otherwise may not take part in mainstream learning provision and are excluded from other horticultural and herbal courses due to cost. The courses help people to gain confidence, develop skills and find routes into education and employment.
