*********THANK YOU***********
Hi! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
You can help me in my fundraising challenge no matter how much you donate. I am so grateful for your support!
In September this year I have signed myself up for a trek along the great wall of China! We will take approximately 9 days to curve our way around, up and down the exciting landforms that hold this brilliant length of wall.
I was inspired to do this by my dear, gorgeous, wonderful granny Grumsie who died last summer having suffered from the distructive disease of Alzheimers. I want to raise for the Alzheimers society so that they can find ways to provide support for people in the same situation, their families and put money towards researching what can be done to ease the difficulties of Alzheimers.
One thing I know Grumsie loved was the letters I sent her when I went travelling - not as much as I did writing them! I wrote to her regularly and enjoyed every minute of it. And when I came home she would have them up, all over the kitchen to look at. I will truley miss not writing to her from China, but I hope that she might come with me - for the first time I can actually take her - in my heart like I do while I am at home.
I have already met people who remember her fondly through my fundraising and it has been great. Now I just need your help to reach my target, and I am running out of time!
Please look out for my 'penny pots' about the place - I am collecting change as I know people hate having them hanging around their pockets!
And remember, EVERY PENNY COUNTS!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx THANK YOU xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Alzheimer's Society will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Please donate generously.
Many thanks for your support.
