My beautiful sister Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer just before Christmas last year. She has since undergone a mastectomy and chemotherapy and has come through it with courage and humour. Her strength inspired us to give something back to let her know how much we love her and to thank her for being such a wonderful sister, daughter and friend.  This awful disease affects thousands of families every year, and it is a great way to get everyone together to have a fun day out, share stories and raise money for such a wonderful cause.  I am also doing this race in memory of my beloved father who passed away aged only 46 after a short battle with cancer.
