Story

The CBRE Healthcare & Life Sciences annual cycle challenge is now in its fourth successful year, and 2016 will prove to be a high speed, ultimate thigh-busting, stamina draining, non-stop track spectacular.

Our latest project is to buy a “Ambulatory EEG Recorder ”.

Ambulatory EEG Recorder - System to enable with the diagnosis of epilepsy in children.  This is aportable system designed to be used in a child’s home, which will provide moreaccurate and reliable results than currently possible.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) isused in the monitoring of long term epilepsy, differentiating types of epilepsy and investigations of non-epileptic seizures.

The use of an Ambulatory EEGrecorder in current practice is significantly limited by cost and non-availability of resources, causing delays for patients this purchase will significantly help in overcoming some of the current limitations.

Our challenge will take place onthe world renowned Top Gear track built on the main runway and taxiways of Dunsfold Aerodrome in south-east England. The famous BBC motor sport test trackis 1.75-miles of super flat race circuit, famous for being one of the fastest circuits in the UK, with a 60ft-wide smooth track and some of the most awesomelong bends you will ever ride which includes a range of corners, from the slow technically challenging Hammerhead to the fast and terrifying Follow-Through!

This is the ultimate in biking challenges and sees our team of eight riders racing on this famous circuit for 77 continuous laps to achieve a huge 135miles to celebrate the charities 35th year.

Our challenge is not without surprise and we will be doing it in true Top Gear fashion with some track challenges for the riders like top speed, fastest lap and the obligatory “Star on a reasonably priced bike”
