Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To support the work of the Liverpool FC Foundation's Respect for All programme, a team of 12 LFC and Warrior staff will be taking on the Tough Mudder Challenge on 5 October at Cholmondeley Estate.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the Tough Mudder event it is referred to as 'Probably the toughest event on the planet!' A bold statement, but having taken part in it last year I can assure you it is pretty intense! Designed by special forces the event tests all round strength, stamina, determination and camaraderie.
Whilst taking on a 12 mile run the team will be subject to a number of obstacles including electric shocks, ice baths and mud, lots of mud! It is a half marathon with a difference and we will be taking on the challenge to raise funds for the Liverpool FC Foundation's Respect for All programme.
The aim of the programme is to engage young people, with a variety of complex needs, into sporting opportunitise to encourage participation, self confidence and independence. The programme also provides a vital network for both the young people and their parents to socialise and forge new friendships with families sharing similar experiences.
The Foundation coaches deliver these sessions every week in Liverpool and also take their skills overseas. The sessions are tailored to individual needs and include coaching for those with visual and hearing impairments as well as wheelchair users and impairment specific needs.
Please support our team and help us reach our fundraising target to help the Foundation continue to deliver this fantastic programme.
Thank you for your support.
Neil and the team.
