Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most, if not all, of you reading this page will know, Sam Forth is currently undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Sam does an excellent job in keeping people updated with his progress and treaments by regularly updating his blog - www.samforthblog.wordpress.com

What has been clear through reading his blog and speaking with him is that the Teenage Cancer Trust at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull have done a great job in helping Sam through what is unquestionably a very tough time.

A group of us have decided that we'd like to take part in some form of fund raising event for the Teenage Cancer Trust and, quite naturally, we felt that it needed to be a signifiant challenge for such a worthy cause. Low and behold, we have found such a challenge - Tough Mudder. For those of you who haven't seen or heard of this before, a quick visit to www.toughmudder.co.uk should make it abundantly clear just how insane we must be to take part in this ! I don't think people will mind me saying that the team doing this event (listed below) aren't exactly bursting at the seams with fitness fanatics ! However, people are taking the time to train hard for this challenge in order to be in the best shape possible as it will be very tough. However a short period of suffering is nothing compared to what cancer patients have to go though and I'm sure I speak for everyone participating when I say that keeping this thought in mind will help push everyone on to the finish line.

The event is being held in Kettering on Saturday 4th May 2013. Even if you don't want to participate, I'm sure we'd all appreciate some vocal support so feel free to come down and be a spectator.

Listed here are the brave souls who are currently part of Team Sam. What we can't stress enough is that this team isn't exclusive. Obviously the whole point of this page is for people to donate money to the Teenage Cancer Trust, but it's also to advertise what we're doing and to invite people to join us. Whether you know Sam or not, whether you're physically fit or not it doesn't matter - if you're up for the challenge and want to raise some money for a great cause then PLEASE JOIN US !!! The more the merrier !!!

TEAM SAM is currently made up of:
