Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit St Michael and All Angels JustGiving page.

Following the success of the Hymnathon in February 2012, and to celebrate the completion of the Organ & Parish Rooms Project, St Michael's held the Hymnathon - Top 50 event on Friday 28th February. Guide me, O thou great redeemer (368) was voted top of the charts. For more details, see http://smaaa.org.uk/news_events/HymnathonTop50TheDay.html

To pledge money for your favourite - please donate on this page, stating the hymn number in your comments. Also, see http://scottgronmark.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/st-michael-and-all-angels-is-holding.html to see a blog of Scott Gronmark's own Top 10.

The St Michael and All Angels Hymnathon Top 50 is raising money for our Organ and Parish Rooms Project and all funds donated through this page will be allocated to this appeal.

In 2010, after much discussion and painstaking research, we commissioned craftsmen in Switzerland to build a new instrument to our specifications. In November 2011, the Diocese granted the required faculty for the new organ and the building alterations.

The project was finally completed in summer 2013 but we still need your help to raise money and pay back the many loans we needed to back the project.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate.

About the charity

30 years ago in 1987, we sang all the hymns in the New English Hymnal - from 1 to 542 - right through the night. In 2017, we're doing it again to celebrate our wonderful Organ, complete its funding and help our 2017 charities - The Upper Room, Msaada and The Amber Trust www.smaaa.org.uk
