Well we did it!!  The picture shows Megan, Ben and me in Central Park just after the finish drinking the best Starbucks coffee I have ever tasted!!

A huge thank you to everyone who has made a donation and contributed to the fantastic total; we would not have done it without you.

I also want to thank Katy and Sue from Macmillan who arranged everything and made our stay in New York very pleasant and very well organised.

A personal thank you to Ben and Megan for making such a huge effort to get fit and do this crazy thing with me; I was very proud to be running with you both. 

And finally:  we ran this race in memory of Gerry Sanderson a brilliant architect, a great friend and a wonderful family man.  Gerry was a man with enormous generosity of spirit and I feel sure he would applaud the efforts of all those who have contributed to this most worthwhile cause.
