Story
In January 2010, I will be joining a group of 50 colleagues from Capita in an attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Kilimanjaro, at 5895 metres, is the highest point on the African Continent and the world’s tallest free standing mountain. The altitude and the low temperature make this a difficult and often dangerous trek….. There is a risk of altitude sickness and many climbers often fail to reach the summit because of it.
I'd be grateful for any help you can give me - My fundraising target is £5,000, a proportion of which will be matched by Capita. The actual cost of the trip will be split 50:50 between Capita and myself. This means that every penny you donate will go straight to Macmillan.
With 50 of us doing the climb, we hope to raise the huge total of £250,000 for Macmillan through this trip! As you can see, this is a very ambitious target so please give generously!!!
Macmillan are a great cause, providing assistance and support to Cancer sufferers and their families. Any support you can give, big or small, will help Macmillan to help people suffering with cancer.
