THE ORGANISATION [NSPCC]
The NSPCC champion children who've been abandoned or abused in the UK. Their work both raises awareness of the problems and supports the fragile rehabilitation process. The organisation operates solely on donations. - I feel that they are one of the most worth while charities you can support.
FUNDRAISING TARGET - £500 - £1000.
RAISE £500+ FOR NSPCC (in 5weeks)
- The clock is ticking as I MUST raise the money before the September 27th.
- I've have paid £75 to enrol on the climb and will be covering my own travel to Scotland - ALL your money goes to NSPCC.
PLEASE DONATE
THE CHALLENGE
Climb (4000ft) to the top of BEN NEVIS (Gaelic translation ‘Mountain of Heaven’) and reach the highest point in Scotland and the British Isles.
DAY1 (Sept 27th) - Traveling from Brighton up to Glasgow where I will join the the rest of the team on a coach to Fort William for briefing.
DAY2 (Sept 28th) - The Ascent.
It should take around 5hours UP, 3hours DOWN and is said to be challenging for those of good physical fitness but that the views are breath taking!
The ground will vary from steps, steep inclines or gradual slopes, to scree and rocky ground. In wet weather it can be slippery in places, and in
some areas it can be easy to lose the path in limited visibility. It is not uncommon to be walking on snow as you approach the summit, even in the summer months.
DAY3 (Sept 29th) - The journey home!

MY REASONS
This year I've let both myself and some people that I care about down pretty badly and I thought that this would go some way to making up for that and proving that I care. Ironically by climbing a mountain I hope to find some level ground where I can build foundations for future.
When I found out about the climb, registration had already closed, the event was fully booked and the deadline for delivering 80% of the fund raising had past (11wks pre climb).
I contacted the NSPCC and asked if there was anyway that I could join the climb. As it happened there was a place available because of a recent drop out due to injury.
After speaking to the NSPCC it was arranged with both the charity and the tour provider that I would pay my enrolment direct and be given until the climb date to deliver my total fund raising target of £500 - with your help I hope that I can double this!
Please come and join me out fundraising or training over the next 5wks.
