Macmillan Cancer Support - London to Paris cycling challenge 2011 · 6 July 2011 ·
Why on Earth would you cycle 500km up hills and down again from London to Paris if not for a GREAT cause like Macmillan.
Along, sadly, with countless family members and close friends of Kate, Andy and Toby's families, Toby's dad Lou left us in October 2006, but through two epic struggles with cancer he received massive help and support from Macmillan.
As a fund raiser (latterly by profession), Lou would have been pleased that we were doing this madness to raises funds to augment Macmillan's help for people in real need. I know many of us have friends and family who are already receiving their great support.
Being who he was, he often joked that cancer was a great way to lose weight. We'll so is cycling. Hopefully us doing some of it will help some of those who suffer from its horrible symptoms. Cancer that is, not the cycling.
Thanks!
