TROOP AID IS A SMALL CHARITY WITH A WORLDWIDE REACH The objective of Troop Aid is to supply the basic essentials in an emergency pack when British Troops are injured in operations or training. Grab Bags are sent to Cyprus, Canada, Kenya, Nepal, South Sudan, Brunei plus MOD hospital units in UK

Story

None of us quite know how we ended up entering this run. Some bloke at work mentioned running a race for Troop Aid a few months ago and we all agreed that we'd like to give it a go. That race was full and the gent in question ended up moving to Cyprus so quite how we migrated over to the Forrest of Dean 1/2 Marathon, we'll never know!

Most of us have never run that distance before, but we're all agreed that Troop Aid is a great charity. As RAF nurses, medics and stewards all closely associated with the aeromedical evacuation of our injured troops, we can see how the packs that Troop Aid provide directly benefit our patients and make their flights back to the UK a little more comfortable.

Thank you for reading this but please dip deep now and help us raise some much needed funds for this great charity.
