The Longest Climb Amnesty

This is something extraordinary. This is, you might say, impossible. This is something that has never been done before.
This is an attempt to set a new world record. An attempt to raise money for three charities, Amnesty International, standing up for humans wherever justice, freedom and truth are denied, HeartUK, the nations cholesterol charity, and Mountain Rescue England and Wales, helping climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers in trouble in England and Wales. An attempt to do something amazing to remember a dear friend who was killed in the mountains over christmas.
This is two guys, attempting to climb the height of mount everest, 8,848m, in one stretch, on an indoor climbing wall. This equates to 1,106 times up the 8m wall.
Ridiculous? Impossible? moronic? Perhaps. But this is not just a vain attempt to steal the limelight and earn 15 seconds of fame, this is two friends trying to do some real good in the world, and with your help we can achieve it. Tell everyone you know, follow our progress in training on twitter www.twitter.com/thelongestclimb and on our website, www.thelongstclimb.net. If you are, or you know a journalist, please write, speak, tell the world about us and help us to raise some serious money for these worthy causes.
We believe we can set a new world record, and we believe that we can really make a difference to our three chosen charities.
