Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society because I think it's brilliant charity. It provides really clear and practical information about dementia. It supports research to help improve the quality of life of people with dementia - and it can make a big difference. I've seen personally the impact of dementia and how this ripples out to affect family and friends. I want to do something concrete and fun and challenging about it. So I'm going to trek across the Sinai desert in November this year with a bunch of strangers, walking over 70 kilometers and sleeping under the stars... And I have to get fit and raise sponsorship money to make it happen.
There are lots of ways you can show your support. You can donate now or later on line to sponsor me - but you can also help me with various fund-raising events. I raised £95 with a tombola at the Abbeyfield Festival on 5th July and a I'm planning a book sale next. Old books and potential tombola prizes for future events would be very welcome.
All the money you donate and the proceeds for any items you give will go directly to the Alzheimers Society. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
