Euan was a superfit young man of 26 with everything going for him.  A wonderful young family and fulfilling work as a talented entertainer.In 1994 he contracted meningitis and died within 3 days, leaving a young pregnant widow and a 2 year old daughter.  The whole family was devastated.

The family have supported Meningitis Research Foundation ever since and to mark this anniversary we're taking on fundraising challenges.My daughter, Cate is CYCLING from Chesterfield to Paris to RUN the Paris Marathon. My close friend Howard and I have resolved to WALK the 192 mile Wainwright Coast to Coast Trail in July.  It has a total ascent of over 23,000ft and crosses 3 national Parks.

Euan and I did a lot of mountain walking together so this challenge is particularly apt because it will bring back very happy memories. The picture above shows us in the Pyrennees in 1998.
