Story
As you may, or may not, have heard, I am sailing accross the Atlantic with my friend, Henry Adams, in a 26-foot folkboat (http://www.garymolitor.com/images/jjeye.jpg). We're doing this to raise money for a charity that is very dear to us. While we were both at school, we lost two friends to brain tumours and related complications. The Samantha Dickson trust aims to fund research into the disease and give support to those affected and their families.
It is a two and a half thousand mile trip, which could take us anywhere between three and four and a half weeks, depending on the weather conditions. We are both recent graduates and normal guys - neither of us is engaged in, or intending to become engaged, in sailing as a career. We are the smallest boat in a fleet of 245 competeing in this race. This will be an endurance and skill challenge for us personally and will have been 10 months in planning.
Please give anything you can and help us to support this charity, which means so much to us and continues to do fantastic work only thanks to the generosity of its donors.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust (SDBTT) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
