We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

In August last year, when I was 10, my dad suffered a severe stroke on the left side of his brain. This resulted in paralyzing the right side of his body and losing some of his memory of technology. Fortunately, my dad received surgery from top doctors in the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, who saved his life. Following this, my family also received a lot of support from the Stroke Association who give advice and provide information to victims and families of stroke survivors.

To celebrate 1 year since the operation, I will be doing a 10 mile sponsored walk with my mum, brother and some other friends, from my house in Edgware to the National Hospital in Queens Square on the 12th August, in order to raise money for the Stroke Association. I would really appreciate any contribution you can make towards this worthy cause and very exciting challenge I will take on this summer!
