Story

On the 24th June 2013, I'm going to be hiking up Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest moutain in Africa, and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. At over 5800m, it's a major challenge - extreme temperature, tricky terrain, and crazy altitude. But it's going to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I cannot wait to get started.

I am raising money, along with other students from the University of Surrey, for Practical Action. They're a charity who aim to use technology to help get people out of poverty - this includes creating renewable energy sources, sanitised water systems, and food production skills. Working in countries across Africa, as well as Asia and Latin America, their work is vital for saving lives.

I need to raise £2,650, supporting Practical Action and giving me the opportunity to go on this incredible trip. So please, dig deep and show your support! JustGiving send money directly to charities and reclaim Gift Aid where possible. It's a fantastic cause and a phenomenal experience.
