We provide welfare and practical support to seafarers and their families in need.

Story

We have the RILA team from our Cargill office at Varna,  which is going to participate in the Three Peaks charity event to support the Sailors’ Society organization. Kalin Nikolov, Vencislav Ivanov (vessel operators) and myself are going to climb the three highest peaks in Great Britain within 24 hours: Ben Nevis (1344m), Helvelynn (950m) and Snowdon (1085m), aiming to raise GBP 6,000 in sponsorship towards the charity’s work supporting seafarers worldwide. All funds raised from the Challenge will help the Sailors’ Society sustain their vital services and continue to provide practical, emotional and spiritual support for seafarers worldwide. We take this challenge very personally, since most of our colleagues in the Cargill Ocean Transportation office in Varna have experienced the hardship of being away from home for such long periods and missing many important moments in life. In the worst scenarios some seafarers also find themselves abandoned at ports with no money or supplies and no way to get home. Organizations like Sailors’ Society with the help  of all their supporters to improve the world’s merchant seafarers’ experience at sea/ports. Not on the last place, Cargill Ocean Transportation has been working with the Sailors’ Society for 14 years already, so we are proud to be part of this event.
In view of the above, we would be really  grateful if you wish to support our team Rila. Any contribution will be highly appreciated as we know that it will come from your heart.
