Thank you for taking the time to visit the Just Giving Page of 'The Ruby Robins'.

Current Event:

The Ruby Ride, 15th September 2013

It's that time of year again, the Ruby Robins are taking to the streets of Portsmouth on our bikes in memory of Robin Smith and to raise money for The Rowans Hospice.

This year our team includes Jackie Smith, Mandy Riggs, Ben Riggs, Jennifer Western and Aaron Sabiston cycling 18 miles each, Mark Riggs going 30 miles along with Simon Hillier and Nick Felstead taking on the Epic route of 60 miles each.  Fingers crossed the sun shines and thank you all once again for your support.

Previous events:

Moonlit Memory Walk, Saturday 22nd June 2013

We are continuing to raise funds for the Rowans Hospice in memory of Robin Smith.
Please continue to support this charity as Jackie Smith, Mandy Riggs, Stella Western, Jennifer Western, Aaron Sabiston, Lisa Felstead, Patricia Winninster and Carron Evans take part in this event to remember a much loved friend and family member on the anniversary of his passing.

Please keep reading if you haven't visited our page before for more information on our team events and the reasons behind our fund raising.

On the 30th September 2012 we took part in the Rowans 'Ruby Ride' to raise funds for the Rowans Hospice in Hampshire, and each of our riders is completing between 18 and 60 miles each, in and around the Portsmouth area.

The Ruby Robins, headed by Nikki Hillier and Mandy Riggs in memory of their Dad - Robin Smith. Other team members are; Jackie Smith, Simon Hillier, Mark Riggs, Ben Riggs, Nick Felstead, Lisa Felstead, Elliot Potter, Lynda Potter, Jen Western, Natalie Wheldrake and Kiernan Easton.

Our Dad - Robin Smith - sadly passed away on the 22nd June 2012 after fighting a long and brave battle against cancer. He was in the Rowans for several weeks and the care he received from all the staff was outstanding, and we as a family will be eternally grateful to all the kind staff and volunteers, who do such a great job for patients and their families at such a difficult time. My sister Mandy and I, and indeed our whole team, would like to raise as much money as we can in memory of our wonderful Dad, who was taken too soon from our family and who will be so greatly missed.

We appreciate that in these times of austerity it is difficult for people to donate, but anything however small will make a huge difference to those like our Dad who are fighting cancer.

Many Thanks - Nikki Hillier
