Stan Williamson is a member of the Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club and will be completing a challenging 200 mile run on a 1948 classic AJS Motorcycle to raise money for the maggies centres in Scotland.

Recently Stan has had quite a few friends and family who have been diagnosed with cancer and sadly a few of those did not recover. Stan would like to raise funds for the fantastic work that is done at the maggies centres. 

At Maggie's you can talk to, and get support from a range of proffesional people, Their centres are staffed by Cancer Support Specialists, Benefit Advisors, Nutritionists and Psychologists who can support in whichever way suits your needs.

Stan is a collector of Vintage & Classic Motorcycles and thought it would be appropriate to use one of these to complete the run from Perth to Oban and then complete the return journey all in one day.

It may not sound like much of a challange but these bikes do not contain the modern comforts nor the road speeds of a modern vehicle and as aresult it is estimated that it will take between 8-10 hours to  complete the run.
