Story
For the last year of Dad's life he had to travel 31 miles daily to have treatment. His treatment, an hour of radiotherapy, meant he could not drive so the only option my family had was to use Hospital transport. Although this certainly helped it often didn't turn up to take him or pick him up, it also meant dad had to wait around for his lift home meaning his hours treatment took all day.
There is currently a campaign for a radiotherapy unit at the Lister hospital, this would have made my dad's last year far more comfortable.
As this is still being campaigned for we would like to raise money for the MacMillan chemotherapy unit at the lister.
