Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The James Nicholas Foundation and the charity CRY aim to bring simple ECG testing to as many individuals aged between 14 and 35 as possible, throughout the UK, but specifically to the North West. CRY state that at least 12, 14-35 year olds a week pass away from sudden adult death (SADS).

The James Nicholas foundation was set up after James passed away suddenly at the age of 21 due to an undetected heart defect (October 2012). Each ECG test currently costs £50, these tests are not available through the NHS therefore the family and friends of James spend a lot of their time to try to raise funds to ensure testing is available, preventing another family going through what we have.
