The Helen Gibbs Trust Fund was set up in 2006 after the premature death of Helen Gibbs at the age of 26. Helen was an amazing young lady who suffered from Acute Porphyria and due to her illness she experienced long stays in hospitals. However, Helen never let her illness get her down and always lived her life to its fullest, it is with this outlook that we continue to celebrate Helen’s life, raise money for and support the charities that helped Helen to maintain her positive approach to her life.

Family and friends have so far raised over £20,000 for The Helen Gibbs Trust Fund. This has been done through a variety of events, such as fun runs, football matches….. not to mention the very popular annual ‘Hint of Pink’ May Ball!

The Helen Gibbs Trust Fund have set up this JustGiving page in order to raise money on behalf of the British Porphyria Association (BPA) to help them in their research for a cure for this little known illness.

If you would like to get involved in the fundraising of The Helen Gibbs Trust Fund, no matter how big or small, please contact us via email at thehelengibbstrust@hotmail.co.uk. We are always looking for ways to help raise more money for this special cause in memory of a very special person.
