For those of you that don't know, some of us from my Church and youth group are going to travel to one of the poor townships near Johannesburg in South Africa.

Over the Easter Holidays we are going to be working very hard to help the less fortunate in South Africa. We have worked out that we will in total be working for 40 hours! That is a lot of hard wrok! We hope to be building homes for the very poor and also an AIDs clinic. The AIDs clinic will be very helpful in South Africa as many or the people there are diagnosed with having HIV or AIDS!

To get there we are each going to need to raise £950. This is less than it would have been, as we are only going to be sleeping in tents and living off basic supplies. Also the South African government have agreed to pay for the building supplies, so we are very greatful. But of course there are still many costs to cover, eg. Travel.

We have all been doing lots to raise money, we've had a jumble sale, sponsored dressing up and lots of kind donations. We are going to be doing a quiz night, an auction, a raffle and much more! We still each need all the money we can though!
