Story

Hi Everyone!

Come and join my friends and I as we embark on the 24-hour BIG BOOM spinathon, alongside many others. Let me know if you want to participate with us! If not, any donations big or small are greatly appreciated... all in the name of a wonderful cause, that is very close to my heart! All teams will be continuously cycling for a full 24 hours from 7pm on Friday 18th October until 7pm on Saturday 19th October to raise money and awareness to support this wonderful charity.

So why are we doing this?

Simon Brennan - my very dear friend, first-boss and number one hero - is raising money for a Motor Neurone Disease charity called Doddie Weir, after he was tragically diagnosed with Progressive Bulbar Palsy, a form of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in May this year. For those of you that don't know Simon, he is an absolute legend. Always the funniest, most charming and full of energy person in the room. So it is the least we can all do to take part in such an incredible event to raise awareness and money... so get donating!

Simon has thrown himself into fundraising for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation (https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk), which raises funds for research into the disease and provides financial support for those suffering from MND. Some of Simon's previous fundraising efforts and national press coverage can be seen here:

We have partnered with the great people at Boom Cycle (https://www.boomcycle.co.uk/) who will host the 24 hour spinathon starting at 7pm on the 18th October at their studio in Waterloo.

Boom Cycle have kindly offered to provide food and refreshments as well as shower facilities, sleeping space and towels. Plus they will host the afterparty once the ride is over! Come and be a part of something amazing and please give generously to help put an end to this disease once and for all!
