Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.:
For a long time the ten of us (and many other Broad fans) have wanted to do something special for The Broad Appeal - and in turn help the MND Association. The only way we could unite Stuart Broad fans/cricket fans all over the world was through an online fundraiser. Therefore, we have set up this page to help raise funds and awareness for a disease that clearly needs to be ebbed from this world...
For those who are not aware of Motor Neuron Diseases (MND), they are “a group of neurological disorders that selectively affect motor neurons therefore making it difficult to control voluntary muscle movements. They are progressive in nature and cause increasingly debilitating disabilities and eventual death.” It is passed on from generation-to-generation and currently there are no tests to identify MND at it's early stages. It is diagnosed by an elimination process. People who have MND suffer so much whether it is for only a few months to a few years. It is heartbreaking. So far there is no cure for these diseases; therefore it’s imperative to help researchers find one. For that they require funding. And THIS is our way of helping them out.
The month of June also happens to be MND Awareness month - June 21st, MND Awareness Day - therefore, many fundraisers out there are trying to raise funds and awareness in this month alone. For us Broad fans, this also happens to be a special month because of Stuart Broad's birthday. Since The Broad Appeal is something that is close to his heart, the amount raised by us will go to the MND Association on behalf of The Broad Appeal - Stuart's birthday present.
If you could share this page with as many people as possible, we would very much appreciate it. We can assure you that our only goal is to help The Broad Appeal and The MNDA in the battle against MND. We would love to get as much international and local support as possible in order to turn this fundraiser a success. Please spread the word and do what you can to help!
Please dig deep and donate now. Help make a difference!
Thank you!
