Story
The final amount raised for The Anthony Nolan Trust is £1,702.50 !!!
The amount of money raised could be used to buy 170 saliva sample kits (saliva samples tell whether a potential donor is a match) or, help towards the cost of storing 85 potentially lifesaving cord blood samples, or help towards the cost of recruiting 34 new potential donors to The Anthony Nolan Trust register and testing their tissue to find out if they are a match!
Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored us for this great cause.
On Sunday 8th August, members of the pharmacy team at Ipswich Hospital cycled either 35 miles or 60 miles around the Suffolk Coast to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust. Further details can be found at http://www.bike-events.com/Ride.aspx?id=237
Our friend and colleague, Tina Islam, was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2007. Recently a donor has been found for Tina and this is a chance for us to give something back to the independent charity that continues to match donors to people in need of them.
Thank you for your generosity!
