Those of you who know me will know that I have Epilepsy, and have had since the age of 4.

The last 4 years epilepsy (the beast) has taken away almost everything that normal life is for the average person in her 20’s... My relationship, my job, driving licence and freedom have suffered. Ive been in and out of hospitals all over the country, Been in Intensive care 3 times in the past 3 years, tried various different medications and i still am trying to find the right combination of treatment that will work to stop the seizures and allow me to life a normal (or at least seizure free) exictance.
However the past few years have also been where i have become the strongest and bounciest and far more resiliant than i have ever been. Ive become much more patient and even learnt about the more creative side of life by trying many forms of craft.

Epilepsy has allowed me to meet and become friends with some lovely people who I wouldn’t have met otherwise. Yet its also shown me the nasty side of society when people laugh and make fun instead of learning and helping.

Money raised goes towards researching for new medications, the cost of the wonderful saphire nurses, helplines, leaflets and education.

Epilepsy Action has helped me personally.... ive many great saphire nurses, Drs who are fantastic and can produce leflets to help almost every part of life with epilepsy and the Epilepsy Action helpline can be a life saver.

With epilepsy you never know what is going to happen next but Epilepsy action are fighiting of a cure and this is why I want to raise money and awareness of epilepsy.

I pray everyday a cure will be found.
