Women on a Mission is a non-profit entity, based in Singapore, which combines challenging expeditionary travel with the support of humanitarian causes.
Our team of dedicated women has chosen the hidden, sacred Valley of Happiness, in the mountainous region of Tsum, Nepal, as our next destination. We will use the trek to raise awareness and funds for women survivors of war, victims of human trafficking and rape.
This trek follows successful campaigns to Everest Base Camp in Nepal in 2012, and to Jordan’s Wadi Rum Desert in 2013, which raised a combined total amount of S$250,000 for women victims of violence.
Please donate to support our team - we are aiming to raise S$70,000 for Women for Women International's work with women survivors of war.
WfWI help women transition from crisis and poverty to stability and economic well-being via a year-long training programme. They achieve this by bringing women out of isolation in a safe space with other women, by providing them with skills to earn and save money so they can put food on the table and send their children to school, by providing them with access and knowledge of how to look after their and their families’ health, by providing women with the knowledge and skills so that they can make and influence decisions in their homes and community.
So far, over 20 years WfWI has helped over 400,000 women survivors of war and created a change in the lives of over 2 million community members as a result.
