We've got the some of the best sporting figures in the travel sector battling it out against one another at Tough Mudder's grueling obstacle course on 30th April - whilst raising money for international water aid charity Just a Drop.
These Travel Tough Mudders will brave mud, ice and electric shocks in the 10 mile endurance event. Designed by the Special Forces, Tough Mudder is an infamous test of strength, stamina and determination which is designed to push participants to the limits.
All the teams combined have a fundraising target of £10,000 which will be going towards a specific borehole project in Nsunka Village in Zambia; a rural community which has no local health services and no access to safe water.
The project will benefit 300 people by providing a water pump in an accessible location, whilst also educating the community on hygiene and sanitation to ensure good health for the long-term.
As a result, people's health will improve with a reduction in the incidence of water-bourne diseases, and the community will be more empowered through resource ownership and being in a much better position to help themselves, rather than rely on any hand-outs, or aid.
