Hundreds of thousands of street children across sub-Saharan Africa face huge challenges every single day simply struggling to survive. More than finding food, shelter and protection, their Greatest Challenge lies in finding HOPE amongst the violence, fear and darkness of their daily lives.
Inspired by them, and supported by TelecityGroup, Lewis Moody MBE, Alan Chambers MBE FRGS and Phil Wall (Founder of HOPEHIV) took on their Greatest Challenge in February 2013 to help make that HOPE easier to find. They battled the elements during the 300 mile Yukon Arctic Ultra but had to make the difficult decision, 85 miles in, to withdraw due to frostbite.
They are however determined to continue their fundraising drive for the young people that HOPEHIV support, and encourage you to join them by choosing your own greatest challenge, getting sponsorship, and telling us all about it!
