We're Claire, Colin, Keith, Ron, Sue and Tony cycling 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats , and being joined along the way by Alex, Dave, George, Martin and Nick. We’ll be starting on the 2nd June and plan/hope to finish on the 15th June. We will be raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. You can follow us by clicking here. We are grateful for the generousity of our business sponsors.
We are taking on this challenge as Charlotte Loader, a wonderful daughter, sister and friend to so many, passed away in February 2012, just days after her 23rd birthday. Charlotte was beautiful inside and out, and very modest. She would be embarrassed by all this attention but we wish to do something special in Charlotte’s memory and to be able to help others.
It is Charlotte’s inspiration that has encouraged us to take on this demanding ride. Our objective is to honour her strength and determination and help raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) to enable them to give support to others who find themselves fighting the same fight.
The TCT is a charity that helps youngsters, aged between 13 and 24 years, who are diagnosed with cancer. Their aim is to offer young people at this sensitive and unique age, the best care and support available, whilst also allowing them to be comfortable in surroundings appropriate to their age, and most importantly, to still be teenagers. The TCT’s objective is to be able to offer this support to all youngsters throughout the UK, wherever they live. As a charitable organisation, in the current economic climate, this is a big challenge.
Our aim is to raise over £10,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, in memory of Charlotte. Please help us to help achieve our goal - all donations are very welcome and greatly appreciated.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe and will never be shared with anyone. Once you donate, your money goes directly to the TCT. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
