Two Gastroenterology consultants at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Dr Nikhil Thapar and Dr Neil Shah, decided to take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
The aim is to raise funds for a new research project into understanding the genetic causes and improving therapies for infant inflammatory bowel disease. The new developments will allow the team to continue to provide the world-class standard of care expected from Great Ormond Street Hospital.
