Hello! Thanks for visiting.
I'm doing a ride, a big old ride, and would like to help out at the same time.
Starting 5th July, I'll be cycling 3303km (or thereabouts), starting in Berlin and finishing - after some twists and turns - in Brussels.
I'd like to raise as much money as I can for two very cool causes. And I'd like you to help me with this. Any spare pennies, pounds or other currencies would be MASSIVELY HELPFUL. Thanks in advance, ye beautiful folk!
I've created two fundraising pages because there are two charities I'd like to raise funds for, and with JustGiving these have to be done separately.
The two charities are Arthritis Research UK and the National Kidney Federation. This is because two people very close to me are afflicted with two very annoying afflictions. Afflictions which, each in its own way, are really worth naffing off.
As I understand it, there are various means by which to naff off diseases: one is to research the causes, symptoms, molecular structures and all that gubbins, and launch the offense in that manner, attacking, if you will, the root; another is to treat the sufferers thereof. Advice, care, counselling, hugs, lollies, grants and other financial aid are all examples of this.
Arthritis Research UK puts a lot of welly into research (clue's in the name), though also supports across the board. The National Kidney Federation has more to do with easing and helping those who've already got the darned thing (like my not-so-little brother, Linus).
It was Tash's idea for me to raise some money with this cycle, so may we all join in doffing our respective caps to her.
Info on my ride is to be found on the individual fundraising pages.
Thanks for your support!
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
