Inspired by Oli Brown, his family, friends and colleagues have signed up for a sporting challenge!
We are racing the Cotswold Classic half ironman distance triathlon on 13 August 2017.
Oli had a brilliant attitude to his illness, and maintained the strength to not be told his prognosis. During a good spell whilst on chemotherapy in May/June, he was deliberating a sufficient sporting challenge for 2017 to prove he'd beaten the cancer.
He chose his favourite triathlon - the Cotswold Classic, taking place in the Cotswold Water Park.
Although he didn't make it, he passed on his enthusiasm and determination to rise to any challenge, so we're doing it for him.
Some of us are completing it as individuals, some of us are teaming up in groups of three to do it as a relay.
The challenge consists of:
- 1.2 mile lake swim
- 56 mile bike ride
- 13.1 mile half marathon run
